Worms are intestinal parasites that feed off the animal and they can cause severe illness.
Main symptoms include anorexia, diarrhoea, vomiting, dull coat, weight loss and pot-bellied appearance. Sometimes worms can actually be seen in the faeces. Some of the species of worms can also crossover and also infest people. Treating our pets for worms reduces the risk of our families getting worms. Our clinics stock many types of worming products for different needs. If your cat or dog is impossible to pill we have a spot-on and syrup products. If you have a bird, no worries, we stock bird worming products too.
Puppies and kittens should be wormed from 2 weeks of age fortnightly until they are 12 weeks old then wormed every 3 monthly thereafter. Ensure you get an accurate weight on your cat or dog to be able to give the correct dose. Please note that some of the supermarket products contain ineffective ingredients.
